k.d. lang "Pullin' Back the Reins" Suit

k.d. lang wore this purple suit in the music video “Pullin’ Back the Reins”, from her 1989 album Absolute Torch and Twang; she co-wrote the song with multi-instrumentalist Ben Mink. Her third album with the Reclines, Torch and Twang combined lang’s love of country with increasingly sophisticated, emotional torch singing—a style that soon secured her future as a pop music icon. lang’s efforts on this album were rewarded in 1990 with her second Grammy Award for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance”.
