k.d. lang Black Nudie Suit
This sparkling black bedazzled suit was created by Manuel Cuevas, who worked for celebrity clothing designer, Nudie Cohn. Famous for his sequin and rhinestone-covered western wear, Cohn made outfits for everyone from Ronald Reagan to Elvis Presley. Affectionately known as “Nudie Suits”, these outfits were a must-have for country singers—and k.d. lang owned several of them. The outfit displayed here was worn by lang to the 1st Grammy Living Legends award ceremony in 1989, and during several of her live performances throughout the ‘90s.
