Artifact TypeBlouse

This gold satin blouse was worn by one of Canada’s first international country stars, Myrna Lorrie. At age 14, Lorrie burst onto the country scene with her first single, "Are You Mine", a duet recorded with fellow Canadian Buddy DeVal. Released in 1955, it was a #6 hit on the Billboard Country charts, and its breakout success led her to tour North America, opening for artists such as Hank Snow, Marty Robbins and Johnny Cash. A two-time JUNO Award winner and country TV star, Lorrie was inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame in 1996.
