Patsy Cline Stage Outfit

Embellished with fringe and rhinestone horseshoes on the shoulders and skirt, this black and white ensemble once belonged to American country music icon Patsy Cline. Together with producer Owen Bradley, Cline helped introduce country music to the mainstream in the 1960s by successfully blending country with pop music in a style that has come to be known as the Nashville Sound. Patsy Cline paved the way for many women in country music, including a young Canadian country singer k.d. lang, who chose Cline’s legendary producer Bradley to produce her acclaimed 1988 debut solo album Shadowland.
