BiographyThere is little documented information about Hendrik Anthonie Meijer. It is known, however, that Meijer was born in either 1744 or 1745 in Linden, Germany, near Hannover. It is likely that he relocated to Amsterdam, Holland in around 1775, and passed away in 1812 at a house on Kalver Straat. He did not have any children and enjoyed relative wealth throughout his life, focusing in his business on constructing instruments for large residences and small churches.
