Established in 1978 by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS), the Canadian Music Hall of Fame honours artists who have made outstanding contributions towards the greater international recognition of Canadian music. New members are inducted into the hall of fame as part of the annual JUNO award ceremonies, each receiving a JUNO statuette based on the 2010 design by Canadian artist Shirley Elford. The crystal trophy features a laser-etched figure wrapped in a spiraling music staff, symbolizing the creativity and inspiration surrounding every artist.

Operation/FunctionThis artifact consists in a black square base with a clear glass obelisk and an interior frosted glass figure and ribbon.
