Seen here are the handwritten lyrics for Sass Jordan’s 1992 hit song “Make You a Believer”. The first single off the Canadian rocker’s second album, Racine, “Make You a Believer” is a bar room rock anthem with a rousing gospel chorus. Racine, translated in English as “roots”, was an international success for the bilingual singer—leading to a collaboration with Joe Cocker and a 1992 Billboard Award for “Best Female Rock Vocalist”.
