BiographyCuriously, there is relatively little that is known or discussed about Kustom. Their association with American pro-audio manufacturers JBL and Altec would suggest that they were based in the United States. Baldwin, another American manufacturer focusing primarily on pianos and organs, is also reported to have been involved in the production of the Kombo combo organ. In addition to combo organs, Kustom also produced a series of popular amplifiers that feature their iconic “tuck and roll” padded exterior. The company was founded in around the 1960s by Bud Ross.
