Once owned by Ralph Grierson, this is essentially the Chroma synthesizer without the keyboard. Of course, it can be connected to an external keyboard, an additional synth or a computer system designed for its particular interface. The minimalist design was too far ahead of its time, however—it was unfamiliar for old-school synth players—and the technology was soon eclipsed by the first MIDI-equipped machines of the 1980s.
