Jack Richardson Tambourine

Affectionately titled the “Godfather of the Canadian Music Industry”—Jack Richardson was involved in many aspects of the music business. As a producer, he launched the careers of some of the biggest acts in the world through his Nimbus 9 Productions recording studio. He also mentored many big name Canadian producers—such as David Foster and Bob Ezrin—and was a key supporter in the formation of Canadian content regulations. The “custom-modified” tambourine seen here was Richardson’s personal instrument, and was featured on many of his recordings—including Bob Seger’s hit song, “Night Moves”.
