Alanis Morissette Harmonica

As the poster-girl for outspoken female rock stars in the mid-90s, Alanis Morissette epitomized one of the most successful second-acts in music. Departing from her dance-pop roots, she reinvented herself as an edgy, alt-rock Queen with the release of her 1995 masterpiece, Jagged Little Pill. Raw and emotional, the album gave a genuine voice to the angst and frustration felt by many of her teenage fans—going on to sell 33 million copies worldwide and receive heavy airplay both on MuchMusic and MTV. The harmonica featured heavily in several of Morissette’s songs—most notably in the 1996 single, “Head over Feet”.
