This stage outfit and similar looks were worn by Gordon Lightfoot in his later years. Frequently wearing plush velvet jackets during his live performances, Lightfoot would often begin a show with a red jacket, changing to a blue one in his second set. This jacket, custom-made by Beth Gordon, shows significant wear to the lining and left shoulder, suggesting it was a staple of his stage persona.
