Neil Stewart

Unfortunately, there is very little documented information about Neil Stewart. It is known, however, that he hailed from Edinburgh, Scotland and was particularly active throughout 1759 to 1805. In addition to Scottish builders such as James Logan and Richard Horsburgh, Stewart is recognized as a prominent builder of the late eighteenth century who focused specifically on spinets while most counterparts in London were constructing harpsichords.
