Aaron Goodvin Interview

Aaron Goodvin is a country music singer-songwriter from Spirit River, Alberta. A natural performer, his interest in music was sparked when he won a local singing competition at age 12. After relocating to Nashville at age 25, Goodvin found success writing songs for country artists like Luke Bryan, Jon Pardi, and Cole Swindell. In 2016, Goodvin released his self-titled debut album, which scored three Top 10 hits on the Billboard Canada Country charts, including the 2017 single "Lonely Drum". The only Canadian country single to be certified platinum in the past two years, "Lonely Drum" earned Goodvin two CCMA Awards for Single of the Year and Songwriter of the Year in 2018. He has toured as an opening act for Gord Bamford and Johnny Reid and headlined his own shows across Canada. In January 2019, Goodvin was named Entertainer of the Year at the Alberta Country Music Awards and he released his second album, V, in February 2019.
