Clint Pelletier is an award-winning guitar player and band leader based in Edmonton, Alberta. He began playing music at the age of eleven under the guidance of his dad, legendary Saskatchewan guitarist and picker Freddie Pelletier. Clint took to the guitar very quickly, and a short time later, he and Freddie produced a “Beginner Guitar” instructional video, and recorded an album of guitar instrumental standards appropriately titled, Like Father, Like Son. He continued to play in a variety of local bands throughout high school, as well as a family group, The Pelletiers. After touring extensively across North America in his twenties, Pelletier settled down in Edmonton, where he continues to freelance as a sought-after guitarist. He performs regularly with his wife, jazz singer/songwriter Thea Pelletier (née Neumann), and violinist Daniel Gervais, in their gyspy-jazz band, Hot Club Edmonton. When not gigging, Pelletier owns and operates a recording studio, ReelTime Studio, and a music school, Planet Music.

Career Highlights

Pelletier has toured extensively through North America with Canadian fiddler and step dancing sensation, April Verch, and the Calgary violin ensemble band, Barrage.

As part of Hot Club Edmonton, Pelletier has played festivals across Canada and the United States, recorded for CBC Canada Live, and opened for Jim Cuddy of Blue Rodeo and Herbie Hancock.

Pelletier released two albums independently through his recording studio, Naturally (2004) and Thanks To Tradition (2005). In 2010, Hot Club Edmonton released their self-titled debut album, Hot Club Edmonton.

In 2010, Hot Club Edmonton won “Instrumental Album of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards.
